to simplify     notes from the open road

Here was the scene early yesterday afternoon up in Sebastopol at Kevin's Vee Dub Day Spa, right before I kicked off the long drive back to Q's compound...

Think of it – seven or eight hours hurtling down the interstate, a giant fiberglass shell with a couple of ten foot long 2x4 missiles secured to the roof by nothing more than two ratchet straps – what could possibly go wrong? Absolutely nothing, it turns out. Take note grasshoppers – if you ever need something ratchet-strapped right, Kevin is your man.

Q and I then undid everything this afternoon and officially designated the compound's new Hightop Work Zone:

 Time to get busy.
